A little relief from the heat possible as a 30-40% chance for weekend showers pass through the area.
Welcome to August! Expect a hot and humid with weekend with a few downpours across the area. Winds will be out of the southwest between 10-15 mph
Saturday’s highs will climb to near 95 with a few showers and maybe a t-storm during the afternoon. Don’t expect widespread heavy rainfall, but a few showers could produce heavy rain. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds.
Sunday will be hot and humid with slightly better rain chances mainly during the afternoon. Any showers during the afternoon will bring some relief from the summertime heat.
Next week looks pretty typical with hot temperatures, high humidity and few afternoon downpours each day.
Eye on the Tropics:
Hurricane Isaias continues its track through the Bahamas Saturday. As of 7 AM it had winds of 85 mph with gusts over 105 mph. It is moving NW at 12 mph. It will come very close to the Florida East Coast tonight and through Sunday.
